I love forums Kathy - they can really help spawn great conversations.
I like how I can run ideas by another fellow student that sits in another country.
Last I checked the forum wasn't that easy to access.
One had to be on a specific page to get there.

Students may "converse" on the forums, especially if it has to do with the course, specifically. Otherwise, there are the blogs, where you can converse at greater length about things. Check it out! It's available on every course's page, on the right hand side of the web page. Click "view site entries" under the block title: Blog Menu.
