God always wants us to be learning of Him because He loves us and wants our good. What He has revealed in His word imparts life to our souls.
“Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).
There is no other way to live safely because there is no other way to know with certainty what is right.
“Jesus was saying to those … who believed in Him, ‘If you continue in My Word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free’” (John 8:31-32).
“All the paths of the Lord are lovingkindness and truth to those who keep His covenant and His testimonies” (Ps 25:10).
